BLRT Grupp expands its activities in Ukraine
BLRT Grupp completed the next phase of the investment program in Ukraine, as a result of which Elme Messer Gaas and Elme Trans strengthened their position in the Ukrainian market.
"Investments in the amount of 1.2 million euros contributed to the increase in sales and to the increase in turnover by 10%. The implementation of projects to provide gas to Flextronic companies, supplier of parts to Apple Inc., as well as to SKF Ukraine, enabled Elme Messer Gaas, as a major player, to enter the new market of Western Ukraine. Over the past 10 years, our investments in Ukraine have exceeded 45 million euros, "explains Aleksander Timarov, CFO of Elme Messer Gaas.
To ensure high-quality and uninterrupted supply of products to the customers, over the past two years the transport company Elme Trans has invested over 2 million euros in Ukraine."Entering Ukrainian market in 2012 we managed to significantly expand our activities and to strengthen our positions," comments Svetlana Butakova, board member of Elme Trans.
Elme Messer Gaas was founded in 1999 and belongs in equal parts to the two major groups - Messer Group (Germany) and BLRT Grupp (Estonia). The team of the international company has 250 employees, including 93 in Ukraine. Elme Messer Gaas offers to its customers a complete list of industrial, medical, food and special gases, as well as a wide range of unique engineering solutions and technologies. The company owns three modern air separation plants and five filling stations in the Baltic States, Russia and Ukraine.
Elme Trans operates in the transport services and equipment rental market in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine and Finland. In total, Elme Trans employs about 290 people, of which 46 in Ukraine.
